Practices

Since its founding in 1979, the firm's first priority has been its clients. We strive to serve each client faithfully, expertly and completely, whether that client is a large corporation, a small business or an individual. We understand that law is a service profession and make every effort to deliver services to our clients in accordance with the highest standards. Fair and flexible billing practices are central to the relationship we have with every client.

Each of the firm's lawyers emphasizes one or more area of law; we have well established practices in civil litigation, commercial real estate, condemnation, personal injury, product liability and wrongful death litigation, land use, education and local government law, family law, creditor's rights, estate planning and general business matters. Our practice regularly covers the entire Northern Virginia Region, and we frequently are involved in work throughout the Commonwealth and beyond.

Blankingship & Keith has a strong local presence and is respected not only for the quality of its legal work, but also for the involvement of its members in bar and other volunteer organizations. We are proud that John Keith served as President of the Virginia State Bar. Hugo Blankingship served as President of the Virginia Bar Association, and served on the Virginia Board of Bar Examiners for over 10 years. Paul Terpak served as President of the Fairfax Bar Association. We are committed to the practice of providing pro bono services to civic, charitable and religious organizations as well as to needy individuals in our community.
