Blankingship & Keith Bolsters Litigation Practice with Addition of Michael Kim

MichaelKim-hs-lrMichael K. Kim has joined the firm of Blankingship & Keith, PC as counsel and will practice in the firm’s civil litigationeducation law and litigationlegal malpractice and defense; and wills, trusts & estates groups.

Kim is an experienced trial lawyer who has successfully represented corporate and individual clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters, such as breach of contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with contract, business conspiracy, misappropriation of trade secrets and other business torts, trusts and estates litigation, corporate governance and control disputes, and shareholder derivative actions.

Kim has been named a “Rising Star“ by Virginia Super Lawyers magazine for 2013–2017 and by Washington, DC, Super Lawyers magazine for 2014–2017. He was selected by Virginia Business Magazine as a member of Virginia's Legal Elite for 2013 in the Young Lawyers (under 40) category and was also selected by Lawyers of Color Magazine (2013) to its Inaugural Hot List as one of 100 early- to mid-career minority attorneys under age 40 from the Mid-Atlantic region. He regularly appears in the state courts of Northern Virginia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Kim graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida. During law school, he was article and comments editor for the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and received honors in Litigation Skills Trial Advocacy. He also graduated cum laude from Columbia University in New York with a bachelor of arts in political science.
