Bill Porter, managing principal for Blankingship & Keith, PC, was recently elected as the president-elect of the Federal Bar Association, Northern Virginia Chapter. Mr. Porter will become president in October 2018. He was formerly the secretary for the organization.

In May, at the Virginia CLE Annual Real Estate Seminar held in Fairfax, Bill Casterline and Jeremy Root presented a one-and-a-half hour topic on how real estate is the subject of various collection actions used by creditors including foreclosures, receiverships, and judicial sales to collect judgment liens.
