Libbey Van Pelt has joined the firm of Blankingship & Keith, P.C. as counsel in its Personal Injury practice. Van Pelt’s practice focuses on serious personal injury cases, including wrongful death, products liability and inadequate security matters.
As a former Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Delaware, she has extensive experience in all phases of litigation. She also maintains a successful practice in complex commercial litigation claims and disputes, white-collar defense and investigations, and construction and engineering litigation involving breach of contract and business tort claims.
Van Pelt earned her law degree from Stanford Law School, where she was an editor of the Stanford Law Review and Stanford Law & Policy Review, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She clerked for Chief Judge Rebecca Beach Smith of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and served as a law clerk to the District Attorney for Santa Clara County, California.
