Blankingship & Keith strengthens family law practice with addition of Olivia Bean

Blankingship & Keith, P.C. is pleased to announce that Olivia M.F. Bean has joined the firm’s family law practice as an associate.

“We are delighted that Olivia has joined our firm,” said William B. Porter, Blankingship & Keith’s managing principal. “As our family law practice continues to grow and attract some of the best practitioners and family advocates in the region, Olivia’s skills as a negotiator and litigator will be an asset to the firm.”

Richard Colten and Thomas Cusick joined the firm’s family law practice this past summer. With the addition of Bean, this brings the total number of attorneys who have joined the firm this year to nine.

Before joining Blankingship & Keith, Bean served as a civilian attorney at Fort Hood, Texas, where she advised soldiers and their families on matters concerning divorce, custody, division of assets and military support requirements. She graduated magna cum laude from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and earned her law degree from Washington and Lee University’s School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. After graduation, Bean completed clerkships with the Honorable R. Terrence Ney and the Honorable Stephen C. Shannon of the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
