Mr. James primarily practices in the area of serious personal injury litigation. He also serves as a military lawyer in the Virginia Air National Guard as the Deputy Judge Advocate for the 192nd Fighter Wing at Langley AFB, Virginia.

He has coached George Mason University Trial Advocacy Teams since 2001 and guest lectured in Marymount University’s graduate Forensic Psychology Department as well as Bowie State University’s Department Criminology.

He is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia and is a member of the following associations: American Association for Justice (AAJ); Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA); George Mason American Inns of Court; Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Bar Association (NOVABAA); the Old Dominion Bar Association; and the Fairfax County Bar Association. Mr. James is admitted to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court, The District of Columbia Court of Appeals, The US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, The US Court of Appeals for The Armed Services, and the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals.

In addition to practicing law, Mr. James is a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and coaches youth football and basketball.
