Our attorneys serve as general and/or special counsel to many public school boards, and private schools, in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Our practice consists of advising them, and representing them in administrative proceedings, and state and federal trial and appellate courts. Substantive areas regularly include negligence or other tort claims; student discipline; special education, ADA and other disability claims; employment matters; Freedom of Information Act; contract negotiations; First Amendment and other Constitutional issues; and condemnation or other land use issues.
